Personal Injury

Since there are a variety of different ways that one can be injured as a result of someone else’s negligence, including auto accidents, trucking accidents, and slip and falls, nursing home injuries, aviation accidents, to name a few, we strive to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the law applicable to all types of injury scenarios, and to make the law work for our clients.

Our extensive experience in personal injury litigation and our unwavering dedication and commitment to justice drives our efforts. With offices in Las Vegas and co-counsel relationships with other firms throughout Nevada and the U.S., we are well-equipped to assist you. We represent clients throughout Nevada, and clients in other states who have been injured in Nevada. If for some reason we can’t help you, we may know someone who can.

Automobile & Motorcycle Accidents

Automobile accident cases need to be handled correctly, or they can last too long and result in too little recovery. For almost 30 years, we’ve been handling automobile accident cases involving serious and catastrophic injury, including deaths.

If you’ve been in an accident, do the following:

  1. Contact your insurance carrier to report the accident;
  2. Find out which auto insurance coverages you have, including UM-UIM and Med-Pay coverages;
  3. Get examined by your primary care physician so appropriate medical treatment can be arranged;
  4. Do NOT speak with representatives of the negligent driver’s insurance carrier.
  5. Do NOT accept a settlement without at least consulting with a personal injury lawyer first.

Trucking Cases

Trucking accidents are not the same as automobile accidents. Trucking accidents are typically far more complex to handle than typical auto cases, and far more deadly and injurious when they happen. It takes a specialized skill set and prompt action to effectively investigate and pursue negligence claims against truck drivers and trucking companies, who often duck and dodge and do everything in their power (right or wrong) to escape responsibility for the harm they’ve caused.

If you or a loved one have been involved in a serious accident involving a truck or other large vehicle, we can help.

Slip Or Trip & Fall

“Slip and fall” or “trip and fall” cases are common in tourist towns like Las Vegas. If a hazardous or concealed condition has caused you or a loved one to be injured by a slip or trip, let us know. Defendants in these types of cases will always want to blame your own carelessness for having caused your slip or trip.

Refuting this contention becomes a prominent component of the handling of these cases, because under Nevada law, an injured person is barred from recovery if they are found to be more at fault for their injury than whomever they’re suing.

Airplane Accidents

Planes and helicopters crash for a variety of reasons, the most common being component failure and pilot error. The investigation and work-up of aviation accidents requires the utilization of experienced experts to guide our litigation strategies, as well as a familiarity with the federal and state laws which come into play in these tragic cases.

Aviation accidents initially provoke an investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which strives to independently preserve evidence and make determinations of cause.

On The Job Injuries

Accidents at work are handled differently than non-work-related accidents. Typically, worker’s comp benefits will be an employee’s “exclusive remedy” for obtaining compensation for a work-related accident, but there are important exceptions, such as where an independent third-party (i.e., a non-employer) has contributed to causing your injury.

  • Tell your supervisor;
  • Fill out the paperwork your employer provides (Form C-1/Notice of Injury or Occupational Disease (Incident Report);
  • Get medical care if you need it and fill out that paperwork, as well (Form C-4/ Employee’s Claim for Compensation/Report of Initial Treatment).

    We have the ability to assist you with your worker’s comp claim, and to determine if some other (non-employer) entity is also legally responsible for compensating you. Why is this important? Because if some non-employer entity also contributed to causing your injury, you can proceed with a personal injury claim against them which is not limited by worker’s comp damages.

Nursing Home Negligence

Injuries to our loved ones that happen due to neglectful practices and procedures at nursing homes are tragic and avoidable. These cases require tenacity and diligence, because these companies all too often care only about saving money and avoiding responsibility for injury claims. Documenting the circumstances surrounding the injury and the harm done needs to occur promptly.

If you or a loved one have been injured as a result of nursing home negligence, including but not limited to bed sores, severe dehydration, preventable falls, or outright abuse, we can help.
