What Is A Personal Injury Case?

First, let me explain what a personal injury case is.  A personal injury case is basically any type of case that involves either a physical or emotional injury.  For example, a medical malpractice case is a type of personal injury case.  A slip or trip and fall is a type of personal injury case.  This is not a complete list, but other types of personal injury cases include motor vehicle accidents, trucking or train or plane accidents, food poisoning, dog bites, nursing home negligence, and various types of battery.  I would also include within the broad umbrella of personal injury cases those involving employment discrimination, race discrimination, civil rights abuses, as well as injuries from prescription drugs and medical devices, commonly referred to as mass torts.
